Fraud Awareness

– Protecting You from Online Scams

Thank you for supporting our efforts to combat online fraud. At AL USOOD, we take every measure to protect our customers from fraudulent activities. If you suspect that you’ve received fraudulent emails, SMS messages, or have encountered a website or social media account impersonating AL USOOD, we urge you to report it immediately so we can take swift action to prevent further fraud.

Please report any suspicious activity to our dedicated Anti-Abuse Mailbox at phishing-alusoood@alusoood.com by following the instructions below.

We investigate every fraud report thoroughly, but please note, we generally do not respond to individual inquiries. For questions regarding shipments or invoices, kindly reach out to our customer support team.

Types of Fraudulent Activities to Watch Out For:

  • Fraudulent Emails
  • Fraudulent SMS Messages
  • Fraudulent Social Media Accounts (including WhatsApp)
  • Hacked AL USOOD Accounts

How to Spot Fraudulent Emails:

Here are some key signs to help you determine if an email you received is fraudulent:

  • Official AL USOOD communications will always come from an email address ending in @alusoood.com, or another AL USOOD-specific domain.
  • Be cautious of emails that appear legitimate but are from generic email services like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com. These are never used by AL USOOD for official communication.
  • Always verify the URL in the email. We will never send links to third-party websites. Official links will always begin with something like https://alusoood.com/.
  • Phishing attempts may contain urgent tones, grammatical errors, suspicious attachments, or unfamiliar links. Do not click any links or open attachments if you’re unsure.

What to Do:

  • From a Desktop: Drag and drop the suspicious email into a new message and send it as an attachment to phishing-alusoood@alusoood.com. If this feature is not available in your email client, refer to the guide for forwarding emails with attachments. We need complete email headers to help shut down fraudulent services.
  • From a Mobile Device: Forward the message to us if possible. For better accuracy, always try to send suspicious emails from a desktop, including the complete email headers. Additionally, report the message as spam in your email app so your provider can take necessary actions.

Fraudulent Use of the AL USOOD Brand:

Fraudsters may use the AL USOOD name and brand without authorization to defraud online shoppers. These scams often involve emails or websites that look like they are from AL USOOD, with graphics that seem legitimate.

Typically, these frauds relate to online purchases where you may be asked to pay in advance before receiving any goods.

The only payments AL USOOD requests via email or SMS are for customs duties and taxes. In these cases, we will always send a One-Time Password (OTP) to the consignee’s registered contact for added security before processing the payment.

This security notice does not alter the obligation of consignees to pay valid shipping, customs, VAT, or similar charges at the time of delivery.

AL USOOD is not responsible for any costs or payments made due to fraudulent activities.
